Not as good as it use to be. Some products I always went to are no longer available. Prices seem to have increased. What happen to the basic prepared subs and sandwiches are no longer available. Salad bar products are not as fresh. Past week only hamburg was 80%. And little selection.
I can usually find what I am looking for in terms of ingredients that you could reasonably expect to find in a regular super market. It seems like their antibotic-free chicken breast, which I think is higher quality than the standard option, seems to be half off ($3/lbs) on some Sundays.
They also like to change where the produce is located for some things and that drives me nuts trying to find what I want.
BEWARE: rotten produce. Check everything before you put it in your cart. At any time you go, you'll find something rotten in the produce section. Most of the time I settle for moderately fresh. Nothing there is ever going to be comparable to a store closer to Boston.
They always have a great selection and everything is always fresh but their prices are very high. I only shop there because it's conveniently located from where I live.
I just bought a turkey for $5, best price around and it's a Jennie I. .49 lb. 3 day sale at Roche Bros.
Awesome fruits and veggie dept as well as a huge deli, meat, and fish dept. Wonderful experience
Their produce section is okay, but some of the options don't look like they are the freshest available. I usually the supermarkets closer to Boston get priority. I've never gotten anything bad from the produce section, though.
Its nice that Roche Bros selected this store for a liquor license, which allows me to pick up cooking wine (MA law only allows 3 licenses per entity, which is why only certain stores of a brand sell alcohol).
